I tried to organise this with my cub group but in the end we didn't do it but you might be interested.
InDepth Scuba at CISAC are willing to let cubs and scouts do the try diving activity. This is trying Scuba Diving at the CISAC pool. No medical is required as this is done in relative safety of instructors in the pool which doesn't get deep enough to cause problems that normal medical issues would occur. The kids get to swim about with the gear on to experience the diving world under watchful eye of qualified Scuba Instructors.
I did speak to the Adventourous Activies people and they had no real problem with this activity for cubs but you may want to do a risk assessment with your group leader.
The cost is around $50 per person.
I made a stipulation with my pack that only cubs with level 2 were able to do this. The others would be doing their level 1 and 2. This meant only the older more experienced cubs would do the diving.
As I said we didn't do this in the end so I cant report on success. I might try again next year.
